Bag Question of the Day

Occasionally, we here at Tip O Day day, turn the tables and ask for your advice. Today, is such a day.

What are some good uses for all those hundreds of dozens of Wal-Mart/Kroger/Meijer/Publix bags you have on hand at any given time?

I use them for smaller garbage cans around the house...then I can throw away gum in the smaller ones and it doesn't become a sticky situation!
The, there are the people with dogs. If you take your dog for a walk, those bags can really come in handy after the dog does it's business.
Third, living in Germany, those plastic bags aren't available when shopping on the economy, so I take one or two to the store with me and reuse them!

Now that I have a dog, they're used for Cheddar's indiscretions on a walk! They're also used when traveling to hold shoes (especially muddy ones) that need to be packed. I also always bring a bag or two with me on trips to hold "wet" things like bathing suits, towels, loofahs, etc.

Christine has a GREAT use for them too. She uses them in equine training as a "shag bag." Basically, you tie a Wal-Mart bag to the end of a stick, and when you shake the stick, the noise from the bag gets horses to pay attention.

Phil uses those bags as a car-trash bag so he doesn't get his car messy. Our cat is also afraid of them, so they make good kitty detouring devices.
