Flight Tip of the Day

The simplest way to put it, is just get a direct flight whenever you can. Even when it may be be the most convenient flight times. You never know when an aiport's radar will go down. Or when there is really bad weather at another airport you're flying to. Looking on the bright side, getting delayed by hours on end allows you to become familiar with every restaurant in the terminal.

Yes, direct flights are great!!! Hours in an airport are usually not the best times of one's life. It's especially bad when you're by yourself with no one to watch your stuff whenever you want to get up.

Also, make sure you take enough books to read, especially if you are going to a foreign country. You don't want to be stuck spending $30 for a book on horticulture just to read something in English.

Only downside to a direct flight...it may cost a ton more! For example, a direct flight from Cincinnati to Germany costs $300 or so more than if you fly from Lexington, layover in Cincinnati. But gosh, if I could fly direct Lexington to Germany, boy would I!

The idea of exploring every restaurant in the terminal actually sounds pretty appealing, to be honest...

And in other news, don't fly with Jason. Don't even call Jason on the day you fly. Don't arrange to have Jason pick you up or drop you off. Because apparently even THINKING of Jason will cause your flight to be delayed. Every flight Jason is associated with is delayed. End of story.

LOL, while what Jay said is very funny, it is also, sadly, very very true.
