Flight Tip of the Day

I just booked a flight to Austin the other day. I'm taking NWA since they had the best flight times and price. I don't have a frequent flyer card with them and know if I start one it would take forever to get any amount of miles worth anything on it. But, turns out their partners with Delta, who I have all my frequent flyer miles on, and I was able to give NWA my Delta SkyMiles number and I was able to credit the miles for the flight to my Delta account. As far as I can figure this partnership works both ways.

Yeah, I like the way Delta does it too. I signed up after my trip to Germany, and I got credit for the trip I'd just finished, and the trip I booked for the end of December.

It's true. Delta, NWA, and a host of other airlines (AirFrance, Alitalia, Continental, etc.) are all part of the Sky Team Alliance. Check out their website.

This is a tip for those who might run where giant swarms of gnats sometimes loiter by the side of the road. This tip stems from a run on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, but I've encountered swarms of gnats in Virginia and Kentucky as well. After your run, always stop and look in a mirror before going into public.
