Scrolling Tip of the Day

For those of us not rich enough to get Apple's Mighty Mouse, you can still scroll like a PRO. Did you know that when using your boring old scrollable mouse, you can double your scrolling potential with one keystroke? That's right. Simply hold down the shift key while using your scroller and it will scroll from left to right instead of up and down. Helpful when browsing those pesky wide windows.

So I tried that on an IBM...you scroll through the web pages you've been looking at...it's like a powerful back button or something!

yeah, the powers-that-be decided it would be funny if keyboard shortcuts on Macs and PCs are completely different. the PC equivalent of this tip is if youre using IE or Firefox and you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, just push the wheel in, and it will let you scroll any direction, diagonally if you wish (assuming the page is that wide)
